Call to join the Global Climate Strike

I am saving you some time today with a short blog post so that you can use it for attending the Global Climate Strike tomorrow (25th of September).

About one year after the first big strike, the second comes in a time with many struggles due to covid-19. Last year, roughly 1.8 million people were on the streets in Germany alone. This year, the strikes are restricted in participant numbers in many places or impossible altogether. As we have seen with many natural disasters, droughts etc. in 2020 alone, the climate crisis is as pressing as ever.

So, if it’s possible for you to attend a local event of the Climate Strike, please do so. You can find an overview of planned events on this page: https://fridaysforfuture.org/action-map/

If you cannot attend anything in person, you can show your support digitally. And of course there are many things which you can change in your own life – you can find some inspiration on this blog.

And as a nice start you can test how much you know about climate friendly choices: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/08/30/climate/climate-footprint-quiz.html

I learned some very interesting points and numbers taking this quiz. It’s really short so it does not take much time.

Have a good time on the strike or supporting at home! 🙂
